The climate has changed and so too has our rainfall in both frequency and ferocity. I am deeply worried about what lies ahead if we don’t take action. Best practice is catchment-based solutions combining natural flood management and hard engineering.

Fear has been expressed that elderly people in parts of Clare, who are forced to leave their homes to source water during the isolation period, are being put at risk.
