This transformative active travel route connecting people and communities between Scariff and Limerick city, including University of Limerick, is something I have been working hard on since I became a Senator and Green Party Ireland spokesperson for Rural Development. In Aug 2020 myself and Brian Leddin TD and Minister Malcolm Noonan TD met with Waterways Ireland and travelled on some of the proposed route.

Now is the time for individuals, community groups and all interested parties to be further informed and to have your say at consultation sessions.

Dates and locations are:
April 26: Waterways Ireland Office Scariff;
April 27: Killaloe Spa Hotel;
April 28: Ogonnelloe Community Centre;
May 4: Clonlara Community Centre;
May 5: Kilmurry Lodge Hotel, Castletroy;
All sessions are 5pm to 8pm.
