In this address to the Seanad, I speak out about the devastating toll of 33 days of war in Gaza. As a politician, a mother, and above all, a human being, I am heartbroken by the loss of so many innocent children's lives. With each passing day, the sadness deepens, knowing that children—who should be playing, learning, and growing—are instead facing unimaginable horrors. I urge the international community to take immediate, compassionate action to bring an end to the violence. This is a plea for peace, for humanity, and for the lives of those who are suffering most.
